Profile of UCC Registrar

With a Master of Philosophy degree in Human Rights from the University of Education, Winneba, and certifications as a Certified Arbitrator and Mediator from the Gamey and Gamey Institute, I bring over 20 years of extensive experience in human resource management to the table. My professional journey spans both the public and private sectors, where I've held pivotal roles contributing to organizational success and growth.

At the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), I rose to the rank of Senior Principal Investigator, serving as the Public Education Focal Person for the Central Region. During my tenure, I authored a groundbreaking manual on Training Human Rights for Health Personnel, which continues to impact training practices in Ghana's healthcare sector.

Transitioning to the private sector, I assumed responsibilities as the Deputy Director In-Charge of Finance and Administration for Childcare International, Ghana, further honing my skills in organizational management. Subsequently, I ventured into entrepreneurship, successfully trading in general goods before returning to CHRAJ.

My tenure at the University of Cape Coast has been characterized by progressive leadership and significant contributions. Starting as an Assistant Registrar, I ascended to the role of Deputy Registrar, playing a key role in establishing Ghana's first School of Economics as the Founding Faculty Officer.

In addition to my administrative roles, I actively engage in professional facilitation, conducting workshops and conferences locally and internationally. As a facilitator for CIAMC Licentiate programs, I impart essential skills in arbitration, mediation, ethics, and white-collar crimes, nurturing the next generation of HR professionals.

As a member of various boards and committees, including the University of Cape Coast Board of Convocation and the Professional Conduct and Ethics Committee of CIAMC-Ghana, I am committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all endeavors.

I am prepared to leverage my diverse skill set encompassing mediation and arbitration, HR strategy, talent management, and stakeholder engagement to lead the Directorate of Human Resources and drive the University of Cape Coast towards continued excellence. Passionate about talent development and organizational growth, I am confident in my ability to make a meaningful impact on the university's success. Let's connect to explore opportunities for collaboration and advancement.
