York University Engages with UCC

The Provost of the College of Education Studies, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, has welcomed a delegation of faculty members from York University, USA. The delegation was led by an Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing, Faculty of Health-York University, Prof. Catriona Buick.
The two sides discussed various aspects of academic relations and ways to enhance them within the frame work of their strategic partnership. These ranged from Partnership between UCC and York University; Ideas of equitable partnership with UCC, securing internships for York Students at UCC, Joint PhD Programs, teaching collaborations, research and grants among others.

During the meeting, Prof. Davis, conveyed to the visiting delegation the greetings of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, and the Pro Vice- Chancellor Prof. Rosemond Boohene, who were on official University assignment outside Central region.
For her part, Prof. Buick expressed her appreciation for the warm welcome she had received, stressing that York University was keen to collaborate with UCC in various fields to advance both universities' development efforts.

The Registrar, Mr. Jeff Onyame; the Director of the Directorate of Research , Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC), Prof David Doku and the Vice Dean of the Office of International Relations (OIR), Dr. Samuel Bert Boadi-Kusi, as well as some staff members of OIR attended the meeting.
