The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko-Boampong, has commended staff of the University for their dedication and commitment to duty despite the challenges they go through in the discharge of their duties.

According  to the Vice-Chancellor, staff of the University played crucial roles in lifting high the flag of University  in 2024.

He cited the recent achievement of UCC in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, where UCC was ranked as the number one  university in Ghana and West Africa.

"I am here to say thank you for the work you did in 2024. We recognise your untiring efforts," he added.

Prof. Boampong  made the remarks while interacting with faculty members of the College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences.

The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Denis  Worlanyo Aheto, and the Registrar, Mr. Gideon Enoch Abbeyquaye.

Speaking further, he encouraged the staff to strive beyond their challenges to continue to serve the University and expressed management's commitment to improve their operations.

The interactive session afforded the Vice-Chancellor the opportunity to officially introduce the Pro Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar to staff of the College.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Denis Worlanyo Aheto expressed his excitement in meeting the staff and pledged to work with them for the good of the University.

He said staff professional development was high on his agenda and would work closely with the Vice-Chancellor to achieve the mission of the University

 The Registrar also took turns to share his vision with  the gathering.

The Provost of the College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, Prof. Moses Joojo Eghan , thanked the Vice-Chancellor and his accompanying delegation for the engagement, adding that it was refreshing that management of the University decided to visit and engage staff.

As part of the event, faculty members asked questions which were answered by the Vice-Chancellor.

Later, the Vice-Chancellor met with staff of the College of Education Studies.
