The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, has received the Vice-Chancellor of the Management University of Africa (MUA), Kenya, Professor Washington Okeyo who is on a visit to UCC.

During the meeting, Prof. Okeyo said MUA was committed to enhancing its academic excellence by boosting its programmes and was keen on establishing academic collaborations.

According to him, MUA was granted a charter by Kenyan President William Ruto in May 2024, making it an independent degree-granting institution.

Prof. Okeyo, accompanied by the management staff of the University, said MUA had demonstrated its preparedness to nurture scholars, innovate in research, and contribute significantly to Kenya's intellectual and human capital.

To that end, he stressed that the MUA was ready to partner with UCC in joint conferences, faculty and student exchange programmes, and joint research among others.
