The University of Cape Coast has procured a K3000 Area Bucket Pickup vehicle specially designed to aid maintenance and repair works from elevated positions.
Making the presentation, a representative of Rana Motors, sole distributors of KIA vehicles in Ghana, Mr. Alex Quinta said the event has paved the way of a good relationship between the two institutions. “This is the beginning of a solid relationship between UCC and Rana Motors as negotiations are in place for my outfit to solely procure all KIA vehicles for the University”, he noted.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Rosemond Boohene, who received the equipment on behalf of the University, advised the Electricity and Transport Sections to take good care of the equipment since it was procured at a high cost.
Present at the ceremony were the Head of Transport Section, Mr. Frederick Baidoo, Head of the Electricity Section Mr. J. W. Ansah and the Ag Deputy Director of DPDEM, Mr. Anthony Atta Bosompem.
