A delegation led by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Mrs. Julia Selman Ayetey, has presented the Ellen A. Awuletey moot court competition trophy to the Provost of the College of Humanities and Legal Studies, Prof. Daniel Agyapong.

Law students who represented the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Faculty of Law  have won the maiden edition of  hosted by the Faculty of Law at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). 

The Faculty of Law Moot Court team defeated the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Law School, and the University of Ghana School of Law (UGSoL). The team also clinched the Best Oralist Award.

The delegation included the coaches Mr. Constantine K.M. Kudzedzi, Esq., and Mr. Kenneth Atsu Dogbey, Esq., and Mr. Alexander Hackman-Aidoo, Esq,as well as the students.

The rest were the students who  comprised Henry Vroom Ashong, Priscilla Naa Atswei Laryea, and Yaborkor Naa Mokeh representing the Defendants, and John Kyeremanteng Nuamah and Marcia Dawson Aggrey representing the Plaintiffs. Alexander Antwi and Lily Oppong-Yeboah supported the team as researchers, with Nancy Bruce-Acquah serving as administrator.

The Dean lauded the management of UCC for the support towards the Moot court team.

She gave assurance that the Faculty would continue to win many trophies.

Receiving the trophy, Prof. Agyapong expressed his joy for the success of the Faculty which is based in his college, while pledging his support to the Faculty to win more laurels. 

He described the Faculty's achievement as a feat for the entire University, urging  moot court team to work hard to retain the trophy in 2026.
