A Senior Coach at the Sports Section of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Mr. David Tweneboah Koduah, has departed Ghana for Lithuania to participate in an International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Goalball Referees Clinic.

The Clinic, scheduled to take place from March 16 to March 24, 2026, is a key professional development programme for goalball referees seeking to enhance their technical competence and upgrade or regain their certification status.

Mr. Koduah’s participation in the programme is fully funded by the University of Cape Coast, reflecting the institution’s strong commitment to staff development and international exposure.

As part of the programme, Mr Koduah (popularly known as Coach TK) will undergo intensive theoretical and practical training designed to sharpen officiating skills, uphold international standards, and ensure consistency in match management.

The Clinic also offers participants valuable match experience, which is critical for career progression in international sports officiating.

In addition to the Clinic, Coach TK, who heads Para Sports at UCC, will officiate at an international goalball tournament during his stay in Lithuania, further strengthening his credentials and visibility on the global para-sports stage.

Speaking to the press before his departure, Mr. Koduah expressed profound appreciation to the University of Cape Coast for its continued support.

He noted that the knowledge and experience gained from the Clinic would be channeled into the growth of UCC para-sports in particular and the development of goalball and para-sports in Ghana more broadly.
