UCC Co-Operative Credit Union Supports Vice-Chancellor’s Project
The UCC Co-operative Credit Union has presented a cash of GH ¢10, 000 to support the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. D. D. Kuupole’s project of establishing a playground for children on campus.
The UCC Co-operative Credit Union has presented a cash of GH ¢10, 000 to support the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. D. D. Kuupole’s project of establishing a playground for children on campus.
Presenting the cheque to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Nelson Buah at a short ceremony in his office, the Board Chairman of UCC Co-operative Credit Union, Mr. Emmanuel Owusu noted that they recently received a request from the Vice-Chancellor for financial support to build a playground on campus. He indicated that the Board at its meeting considered the request and consequently approved an amount of GH ¢10, 000 as their contribution towards the realisation of the project.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Buah expressed gratitude to the Credit Union for supporting the project, adding that “This is a strong indication that you share in the dreams of the Vice-Chancellor and it also demonstrate that he is not alone in executing such project.” He further stated that not all leaders get such support from people under him and therefore noted that the joy and glory would be shared by all especially those who supported the project.
Prof. Buah used the opportunity to express the University’s management commitment to assist the Credit Union whenever there was the need.
Present at the function were the Registrar, Mr. John Kofi Nyan; Vice-Chairman of the UCC Credit Union Board,Mr. Eric Mensah and the treasurer, Mr. Alfred Attom-Prah.Other Board members were Mr. Abeiku Essel, Mr. Napoleon Ankrah, Prosper Nyatuame, Alex Aponfi-Manu and the Manager of UCC Credit Union,Mr. Michael Agbeyebiawo.
