The Center for Teaching Support has held a training workshop for Teaching staff for the School of Educational Development and Outreach which took place at the Intelligent Unit of the ICT Center in the University of Cape Coast from the 15th of December 2016 to the 16th of December 2016.
The workshop commenced with prelude remarks by the Director for the Center, Dr. Douglas D. Agyei, where he highlighted the relevance of the workshop.
The topics discussed within the six sessions of the programme were University Rankings system, importance of Professional Learning Networks, introduction to Google Scholar with hands-on-activities, understanding the Affordances of ICT, Frameworks of ICT integration, and the use of Moodle as an E-learning tool. A variety of methods were used in delivering the content of the workshop which included Lectures, Discussions, Hands-on-activities and Films.
The workshop ended successfully and participants indicated that the workshop was very informative, innovative and successful.
The facilitators for the workshop were Dr. Douglas Agyei, Dr. Fredrick Ato Armah and Mr. Enoch Ansah Apori. Other coordinators for the training programme were Dr. Awo Sarpong and Mr K. Biney, with support from the CTS Admin Team.
