The Pro Vice-Chancellor of University of Cape Coast, Prof. Mrs. Rosemond Boohene, has received in courtesy visit the executives of the Graduate Students' Association of Ghana (GRASAG) University of Cape Coast (UCC).

The purpose of the visit was to among others, introduce the new executives to the Pro Vice-Chancellor after taking office in November 2022.

The president of GRASAG-UCC, Mr. Achire Adam, who led his team, added that the executives were willing to tap into the Pro Vice-Chancellor’s wealth of experience to govern the Association in the right direction.

He seized the chance to also draw the attention of management of the University to issues affecting graduate students on campus and asked the Pro Vice-Chancellor to use her good offices to resolve them.

For her part, Prof Rosemond Boohene after welcoming the delegation congratulated them on their elections and asked them not to lord their positions over their colleague students.

Prof. Boohene was quick to point out to the executives to embrace the modern type of leadership via dialogue and do away with the old style of student leadership riddled with demonstrations and destruction of government property to register their displeasure.

She advised them to be trustworthy in their tenure to justify the confidence and trust placed in them by the students.

Prof. Boohene urged students to be innovative and venture into entrepreneurship to create more employment opportunities.

After the meeting, the executives presented a painted portrait of the Pro Vice-Chancellor to her for her contributions to academia.
