For her part, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Rosemond Boohene, who received the trophies on behalf of management, commended Team UCC participants for their staying power in the face of well-organised opponents to eventually emerge winners of the competition.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor, who doffed her hat for Team UCC Basic School for making the University justly proud at the games, advised the students and their teachers against complacency and implored them not to rest on their oars. Instead, she challenged them to train harder to win the 2024 edition of the UBaSSA Games which will be held at KNUST.
