Japan Motors has presented a cheque for GH¢10,000 to support the organisation of the 12th Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Lectures.
The 12th Series of the Lecture will be held from Friday 28th -Saturday 29th September, 2018 at the Main Auditorium.
Presenting the cheque, the Sales Consultant of Takoradi branch of Japan Motors, Mr. Sidik Shardow, said the gesture was in response to a request, the University made to the Company for sponsorship of the lecture. He said UCC had been a loyal client of Japan Motors and therefore, it was prudent that the company extended such support to contribute towards advancing knowledge to the benefit of the society. Mr. Shardow was accompanied by the Branch Accountant, Mr. Felix Ewusie.
On behalf of the University, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ghartey Ampiah, expressed gratitude to Japan Motor for the support as its corporate social responsibility. He said the University would continue to collaborate with corporate organisations such as Japan Motors to contribute towards the development of the country through knowledge sharing and innovative research to solve challenges facing society.
