GCB Bank Limited has presented a cheque for GH¢ 300,000 to the University of Cape Coast, UCC, in support of establishment of a Biomedical and Clinical Research Centre.
In October 2022, Management of the Bank promised to support UCC to establish the Biomedical and Clinical Research Centre as part of the 60th anniversary of the University.

Presenting the cheque on behalf of the Bank, the Regional Lead, Corporate Banking for Southern Sector, Mr. Joshua Dadzie, reiterated the Bank's commitment to contributing its quota to the development of the University.
He indicated that Management of the Bank highly cherished its collaboration with UCC.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Johnson Nyarko Boampong, on his part, expressed gratitude to the Bank for the support and added that the gesture would go a long way to help the University to facilitate the construction of the Centre.
The Registrar, Mr. Jeff Onyame, Provost, College of Distance Education, Prof. Anokye Mohammed Adams, Prof. L. Sam-Amoah, Chairman of UCC@60 Anniversary Planning Committee and Mr. Nasir Y. Entsie, Secretary to the UCC@60 Anniversary Planning Committee were present at the meeting.
The GCB Bank delegation was made up of the Relationship Manager, Mr. Lawrence Ofori-Addo, Mr. Ahmed Salim Yakubu, and National Service Person, Emmanuela Ansah.
