The College of Health and Allied Sciences has organised a send-off ceremony in honour of the Founding Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences, Prof. Ernest Owusu-Ansah at the Coconut Grove Hotel.
Prof. Owusu-Ansah who retired from the services of the University in September 2016 was presented with a citation, cloth, cash and other items in recognition of his valuable contributions to the growth and development of the School during his tenure as the Dean.
The citation presented to him read as follows:
“It was a great privilege having you as the Founding Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences.
You have been a true human resource developer, committed and hardworking mentor, a visionary leader and an encourager.
Your love for this University was demonstrated in your great passion the School. We shall always remember your care for humanity, special respect for all and your outstanding industrious nature.
As a Founding Dean, you were prudent in handling matters, exercising pure judgement, intelligent in counselling and wise in speech.
We really appreciate you

Present at the ceremony were the Provost, College of Health and Allied Science (CoHAS), Rev. Prof. Harold S. Amonoo-Kuofi; the Dean, School of Medical Sciences, Prof. Francis Offei and current Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences; Dean, School of Nursing, Prof. Alexander Nii Moi Pappoe; Prof. Moses Joojo Eghan, College Registrar, Mr. Godwin Mensah, some heads of department and Faculty Officers and some administrators of CoHAS
