Dr. Justice Boateng, the Head of the Institutional Affiliation Office (L), receiving a citation from the Registrar of CUG, Mr. Emmanuel Kwadwo Kaba
The Catholic University Ghana (CUG) has honoured two staff members of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) for their outstanding contributions to the development of CUG during the period of mentorship between 2014 and 2022.
Citations to that effect were presented to Prof. Edward Marfo-Yiadom, the Chairman of Institutional Affiliation, the University of Cape Coast School of Business and Dr. Justice Boateng, the Head of the Institutional Affiliation Office, UCC, at a brief ceremony at UCC.
The Registrar of CUG, Mr. Emmanuel Kwadwo Kaba, said it was important to honour the individuals for their sacrifices and efforts towards the progress of the university, which received the Presidential Charter in 2022.

He extended the greetings and appreciation of the Vice-Chancellor of CUG, Prof. Dan Obeng-Ofori, and added that the names of the two distinguished individuals would be imprinted in the annals of the university.
For his part, Dr. Justice Boateng expressed gratitude to the university for the honour done to them.
He said the awards were a testament to their hard work during the mentoring process and added that the recognition would spur them on to work towards enhancing the partnership between the two institutions.
Dr. Boateng announced that plans were advanced to engage CUG in introducing nursing programmes that would benefit the two institutions.
