The University of Cape Coast has launched the official logo for it’s 60th Anniversary Celebrations which will climax in October 2022. The final design of the logo was chosen through a competition. Mr. Asare Okae Anti, an Alumnus of the University of Cape Coast, donated an amount of Ghc6000 to the top 3 winners of the competition.
Mr. Geoffrey Nanah, the winner of the logo competition, thanked the 60th Anniversary Planning Committee for the opportunity given to him. He revealed that with his logo design, he wanted to communicate the achievements of the University in various fields including research, entrepreneurship, health and development.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong in his remarks, encouraged all stakeholders to take active part in the Anniversary Celebrations.
Present at the ceremony was the Registrar, Mr. Jeff Teye Emmanuel Onyame, Chairperson of the UCC@60 Planning Committee, Prof. L.K. Sam-Amoah, In-Coming Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast and member of the Anniversary Planning Committee, Prof. Mrs. Rosemond Boohene, Provosts of Colleges, Members of the 60th Anniversary Planning Committee and Sub-Committees, representatives of UTAG, GAUA, SSA-UCC, TEWU, GRASSAG, SRC,DESAG, UCC Alumni Association and friends from the Media.
